Graphic Design Intern

About the Role

JuteCalendars.com is seeking a Graphic Design & Social Media Intern to support the creative head. This full-time, on-site role in the Greater Kolkata Area involves developing artwork for physical products and digital marketing assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Create visual concepts, illustrations, and placement prints for jute calendars, organizers, and corporate gifting materials.
• Design aesthetic graphics, product mockups, and layouts optimized for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest).
• Prepare technical, production-ready files optimized for printing on jute and fabric surfaces.
• Collaborate with marketing and production teams to refine artwork based on feedback and maintain brand consistency.
• Assist with image editing, product photography touch-ups, and brainstorming creative ideas for new eco-friendly products and promotional campaigns.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Design & Illustration: Strong foundation in graphic design, layout design, and illustration for physical products and branding.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent design and photo-editing software.
• Social Media Awareness: Ability to design modern, trendy layouts and visual content optimized for various social media formats.
• Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating creative work across illustration, print or digital layouts, and branding projects.
• Print Production Knowledge: Basic understanding of print production processes and preparing production-ready files is beneficial.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, openness to feedback, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, on-site studio environment.
• Brand Alignment: Keen interest in sustainability, eco-friendly products, and customized corporate gifting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed studies in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Strong practical skills will be given more importance than degrees.

Internship Details

• Stipend: 5000-6000 per month

• Timing: 10:30 am to 6:00 pm
• Days: Monday to Saturday
• Duration: 3 months to 6 months
• Full-time employment may be offered upon successful completion of the internship, subject to performance.
