About the Role

The Volunteer role at Quess Tax Filing is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Hyderabad Area. This role is designed to offer hands-on experience in tax operations and client service while working closely with experienced tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support tax preparers and consultants by assisting with organizing client documents.
• Enter data into tax preparation systems.
• Review information for accuracy and completeness.
• Help with basic research on U.S. tax rules.
• Prepare draft summaries for tax returns.
• Support the team in tracking deadlines and client communications.
• Assist in maintaining records.
• Prepare standard reports.
• Contribute to process documentation under supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to work accurately with financial and tax-related data, including organizing documents and performing detail-oriented data entry.
• Basic understanding or interest in U.S. tax concepts, compliance practices, and tax return processes, with a willingness to learn.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and supporting clear client documentation.
• Proficiency in common office software (such as spreadsheets, word processing, and email tools) and comfort with learning new tax software.
• Good time management, reliability, and ability to follow structured procedures.
• Collaborative mindset, professional conduct, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of client information.
• Relevant academic background in commerce, accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• Students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior exposure to tax, accounting, or financial services is beneficial but not required; training and guidance will be provided.
