About the Role
The Java Software Intern role is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the development of Java-based applications and services. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional development environment, with guidance and mentorship to build strong engineering skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and test Java code.
- Assist in the implementation of Jakarta EE components.
- Contribute to microservices-based architectures.
- Collaborate with senior developers to apply design patterns.
- Review technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Debug issues.
- Document features.
- Learn best practices for scalable, secure software development.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Skills in Software Development and Programming, with a focus on Java.
- Skills in Jakarta EE and Microservices, including basic knowledge of APIs and distributed systems.
- Skills in Design Patterns and fundamental software architecture concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven or Gradle) is beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate in a remote team environment, communicate clearly, and manage time effectively.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Interest in modern technologies such as cloud platforms, data analytics, AI, or robotics is a plus.
