About the Role
Mattern & Craig, an employee-owned Engineering and Survey Firm, is seeking a motivated and responsible individual for a Civil Engineering position in the Charleston, SC office. This is a full-time position with technical design and potential project-management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Water/wastewater system infrastructure design
- Preliminary engineering studies/reports
- Land development design
- Stormwater analysis and design
- Development of erosion and sediment control plans
- Plan and specification development
- Preparation of cost estimates
- Potential coordination with clients, reviewing agencies, and consultants
Requirements & Tech Stack
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, processes, design/build, permitting, and project work-related issues
- Excellent engineering design, written, oral, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, GIS, MicroStation, Microsoft Office software
Qualifications
- EIT certification
- Ability to obtain PE within 1-3 years
