About The Team

• AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
• We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.
• The Decommissioning Team is responsible for processing and facilitating large scale legacy Data Center equipment through a liquidation process.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and facilitate large scale legacy Data Center equipment through a liquidation process to ensure targeted equipment is ready to be removed off premises.
• Process large volumes of customer media to ensure all customer media is sanitized and properly managed.
• Maintain accountability of equipment throughout the process.
• Work in a team environment with members from other teams and promote cross-team functionality.
• Perform repetitive tasks without fault.
• Adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that ensures customer data is protected and properly handled.
• Take ownership of technical issues brought by their customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution.
• Show a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Solve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.
• Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in cramped and/or elevated locations.
• Maintain service level agreements through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting.
• Are biased to act in the absence of direction or support.
• Improve effectiveness through process innovation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
