About the Role
DesignRounds is a platform where engineers practice system design interviews in conditions that mirror real hiring processes. Candidates work through realistic problems such as URL shorteners, chat systems, payment platforms, feature stores, and more, designing architectures on a canvas tailored for system design. An AI interviewer simulates real follow-up questions and provides rubric-based feedback across key dimensions including requirements, architecture, data modeling, scalability, reliability, security, and trade-off reasoning. The platform supports a range of roles that face system design interviews, including backend, full-stack, data, machine learning, platform, infrastructure, distributed systems, frontend, and mobile engineering. Applicants can explore DesignRounds’ system design breakdowns, interview tips, and practice rounds, starting free with just an email at designrounds.in.
