Data Annotation Intern (Full-time)

About the Role

Perimattic is seeking a detail-oriented, full-time Data Annotation Intern to prepare high-quality image datasets for computer vision models used in industrial defect detection. You will work closely with the AI team, annotating and classifying images of real products from manufacturing lines. The quality of your work will directly affect model accuracy in detecting defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Image annotation: annotate images using segmentation, polygons, bounding boxes, and classification labels, as required for each project.
• Defect labelling: identify and label defects such as scratches, dents, cracks, contamination, and missing features, following project guidelines.
• Quality checks: review your own and others’ annotations for accuracy and consistency.
• Dataset management: organise, name, and maintain datasets in a structured way for model training.
• Coordination: work with the AI team to understand annotation guidelines and flag unclear or edge cases.
• Reporting: share daily progress and maintain records of completed work.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Tools: familiarity with annotation tools such as CVAT, Label Studio, Roboflow, or LabelImg.
• Computer skills: comfortable working with files, folders, and spreadsheets.
• Availability: must be available full-time, 10 AM to 7 PM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Education: a completed degree in any discipline is preferred (B.Sc, BCA, B.Tech, B.Com or similar). Final-year students who can commit full-time may also apply.
• Experience: prior experience with data annotation or labelling is required.
• Attention to detail: a sharp eye for small visual differences and the patience for repetitive, precise work.

Stipend: ₹13,000 to ₹16,000 per month, based on experience.
