FINANCIAL ANALYST INTERN

About the Role

This internship at Medinex Workforce places you in the role of ensuring that key business numbers hold up and are explained plainly. You will build simple models, compare plans with actual results, and learn how analysts translate raw figures into actionable recommendations for management.

What You Will Work On

• Build budgeting and forecasting models in Excel
• Calculate and interpret profitability, liquidity, and efficiency ratios
• Compare budget with actual results and explain the biggest differences
• Analyze revenue, costs, and margins by client and service line
• Prepare monthly summaries, charts, and short presentations for management
• Support cash flow tracking and simple what-if scenarios
• Check source data for errors and keep working files traceable
• Share progress in a short daily check-in and a weekly review

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Understanding of financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts)
• Structured, analytical thinking
• Ability to explain numbers simply in writing
• Attention to detail and the habit of double-checking your work
• A laptop and stable internet connection

Helpful but not required:

• Familiarity with Power BI or Google Sheets
• A financial modelling course or certificate
• A model or case study you built on your own

Qualifications

• Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA (Finance), BA (Economics), B.Sc (Statistics, Maths), and CA, CMA or CFA students
• Self-taught learners who can show a model, case study or certificate
• Freshers, with no prior experience needed
• Candidates who can work full-time for the internship period
