About the Role
The Software Development Intern – AI/ML will work full time on-site at Instinkt’s Bengaluru office. The intern will assist in designing, implementing and testing software components that power Instinkt’s driven clinical decision support tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to back-end development tasks.
- Write clean and maintainable code.
- Debug and optimize existing systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on AI/ML feature integration.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Document technical work.
- Work closely with product and clinical teams to ensure that software solutions align with real-world medical workflows.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles.
- Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills for building reliable, scalable systems.
- Back-End Web Development experience or coursework related to APIs, databases, and server-side logic.
- Familiarity or interest in AI/ML concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Exposure to Python, Java or similar languages is an advantage.
- Experience with frameworks or tools commonly used in modern web development is an advantage.
- Interest in healthcare technology and building tools that support evidence based clinical decision making.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru.
- Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English.
