Key Responsibilities

  • Own renewals for live partners, managing the process from initial conversation to signed paperwork.

  • Drive net revenue retention (NRR) for the assigned coverage area.
  • Proactively flag churn or contraction risks.
  • Handle partner escalations concerning partnership, program setup, commercial terms, and products.
  • Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Finance, or Compliance teams as needed to resolve partner issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date account health records and notes.
  • Develop account health snapshots to prioritize time allocation.
  • Relay partner feedback to the Product team to influence the roadmap.
  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of Account Management playbooks, including those for new product and feature expansions.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of Rain's products, including stablecoin card issuing, card network basics, and APIs.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Experience in account management, account executive roles, or customer success within fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS.
  • Comfortable discussing renewals, pricing, and commercial terms with partners, and identifying expansion opportunities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills across calls, email, and Slack.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously.
  • Curiosity about how payments work (card issuing, authorization, settlement) and about stablecoins.
  • Willingness to learn technical topics, including reading API documentation.
  • A sense of ownership to see partner issues through to resolution, even when requiring cross-team collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing company environment.

Bonus Attributes

  • Exposure to card issuing, embedded finance, crypto, or stablecoins.
  • Experience working towards renewal, upsell, or expansion targets.

Qualifications

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in account management, as an account executive, or in customer success, in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS.
