About Yaari
Yaari is a social dining and experiences platform that helps people discover venues and events, book them, and meet others over shared experiences. We’re an early-stage startup building from Delhi NCR, and we’re a child brand of Kunatic, a tech lifestyle company.
About the Role
You’ll work directly with the founder on the financial foundations of an early-stage startup. This is a hands-on learning role. You’ll build models, track numbers and support fundraising prep, and you’ll see how finance decisions are made in a startup.
- Duration: 3 months
- Type: Unpaid internship
- Location: Remote / Delhi NCR (hybrid, as needed)
- Commitment: 10–15 hours per week, flexible
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models: revenue projections, unit economics and a burn and runway tracker
- Model Yaari’s commission-based revenue across venue partnerships and bookings
- Prepare financial sections for the investor pitch deck, including projections, use of funds and key metrics
- Track expenses, budgets and basic bookkeeping in spreadsheets
- Research benchmarks of comparable startups in food-tech, events and consumer platforms
- Support investor outreach with data, cap table basics and Q&A prep
- Help with GST, invoicing and compliance documentation (under guidance)
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a BBA, B.Com, MBA, CA/CFA/CMA or a similar finance or commerce degree
- Strong command of Excel or Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, basic modelling)
- Understanding of core concepts: P&L, cash flow, margins, unit economics
- Analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable working with ambiguity
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Self-driven, able to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
Good to have
- Interest in startups, venture funding or consumer tech
- Familiarity with financial modelling or valuation basics
- Exposure to Indian tax and compliance (GST, TDS)
What you’ll get
- Direct mentorship from the founder, with real exposure to fundraising and startup finance
- Ownership of real work that goes into investor conversations
- Internship certificate on successful completion
- Letter of recommendation for strong performers
- Flexible hours that fit around your college or other commitments
Note: This is an unpaid internship with no equity component. It’s built for learning and experience.
