Applications Analyst I

About the Role

The MGH Digital Solutions Delivery team supports the implementation and ongoing support of technology products for MGB Research and Operations partners. This role is responsible for defining, approving, deploying, and supporting technology requests from clinical and research groups. The Software Applications Analyst provides design, development, testing, implementation, training, and ongoing maintenance for software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review system requirements and business processes; test, debug, and implement software solutions.
• Develop and execute test plans and perform software quality assurance tasks.
• Train end users on software applications and develop end-user documentation.
• Provide ongoing application support by identifying and resolving issues.
• Run reports, update tables, and complete tasks associated with ongoing software operations.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss activities, issues, and updates.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience in the development, support, or operation of software applications, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to document workflows and business processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to translate high-level ideas into detailed, documented technical requirements.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field of Study required.
• Experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Work Model

• Hybrid Working Model
• Monday - Friday, Eastern Business Hours required.
• A quiet, secure, compliant workspace is required for remote workdays.
• 4x monthly at Assembly Row, Somerville, MA required with some days at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA.
• Flexible for onsite meetings, business needs, projects, and team or stakeholder meetings onsite.
