Financial Advisor Associate

About the Role

The Associate Financial Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. This role supports senior advisors by preparing and analyzing financial plans, retirement strategies, and investment recommendations tailored to client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients
• Gathering and updating financial information
• Modeling scenarios
• Helping implement agreed-upon recommendations
• Assisting with portfolio reviews
• Monitoring client accounts
• Preparing meeting materials
• Documenting follow-up actions in the firm’s systems
• Maintaining compliance with regulatory and firm policies
• Coordinating with internal partners
• Contributing to client outreach and service initiatives to enhance the overall client experience

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills in Finance and Investments to analyze portfolios, evaluate strategies, and interpret market information.
• Skills in Retirement Planning to help clients prepare for long-term income needs and risk management.
• Series 66, 7, SIE and insurance licenses are required.
• Progress toward or interest in professional designations (e.g., APMA®, CFP®, ChFC®, CFA®) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Psychology) or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in accessible terms.
• High ethical standards, client-service orientation, and ability to work collaboratively in a wealth management team environment.
