About the Role
Sonos is the leading sound experience brand, on a mission to bring the joy of music and audio to everyone. We build premium hardware, deeply integrated software, and cloud-connected platform experiences that need to feel effortless to the millions of households that trust us in their homes every day. Delivering on that promise takes product managers who care as much about the details as they do about the big picture — and we’re looking for a Software Product Management Intern to help us do exactly that. We’re seeking talented students to join Sonos’s Internship Program and explore what it means to blend creativity, technology, and sound. Our interns are an essential part of our team, bringing fresh ideas, learning from experts, and helping us push the boundaries of what’s possible. Come broaden your skills, share your input and pursue your passion with an 11-week internship experience.
Key Responsibilities
As a Product Management Intern, you will contribute to the foundational pieces of our system, ensuring high-quality and reliable operation. You will collaborate with a team of industry-leading innovators across various disciplines, including software engineering, product management, and user experience.
- Product Development: Design and build product features and capabilities on a cross-functional team.
- Develop an understanding of a key customer problem or opportunity.
- Collaborate with other PMs, UX, and engineering partners to define and deliver a solution that addresses the customer problem or need.
- Data Analysis: Conduct basic data analysis, customer research, and user feedback synthesis to support decision-making and measure the success of launched features.
- Product Strategy Support: Assist in the definition and documentation of user stories, functional requirements, and product specifications for software features within the Sonos ecosystem.
- Roadmap/Backlog Management: Manage and prioritize a feature backlog under the guidance of a Senior Product Manager, ensuring alignment with overall product goals and business priorities.
- AI Integration: Use AI tools to work smarter, speeding up research synthesis, spec drafting, data analysis, and other day-to-day PM work. Bring a curious, experimental mindset to improving your own workflow.
