Financial Operations Business Analyst

About the Role

Our client, a leading communication services provider, is seeking a Financial Operations Business Analyst to support purchasing, internal chargebacks, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, update, and track tickets in Waypoint/Cherwell
• Support daily operational tasks, month-end reporting, and administrative activities
• Identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements
• Review and track statements of work, purchase orders, and related budget information
• Coordinate with requestors, project owners, Contracts, Legal, and Procurement to move requests forward
• Support internal software and hardware chargeback processes
• Reconcile financial records, investigate discrepancies, and assist with expense reclassifications
• Use Excel to manipulate data, maintain account tracking spreadsheets, and prepare management reports

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Professional experience in procurement, purchasing administration, financial operations, or a related business function
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data manipulation
• Ability to review financial information and identify discrepancies
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills and comfort working across departments
• Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines
• Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience reviewing purchase orders, statements of work, and budgets
• Familiarity with internal chargebacks or cost allocation
• Experience with ticketing systems
• Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, or other procurement systems
• Exposure to SQL or Tableau

• Location: St. Louis, MO or Charlotte, NC
• Work Model: Hybrid

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $27.00 - $39.00 per hour
