Fashion Designer Assistant

About the Role

Bestceller is a fashion-focused company committed to creating contemporary, market-ready apparel. This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer Assistant role based in Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Support lead designers in developing collections, including helping with concept boards, fabric and trim selection, and sample coordination.
• Prepare sketches.
• Organize design files.
• Maintain sample and fabric libraries.
• Assist with fittings and revisions.
• Collaborate closely with production and merchandising teams to ensure design intent is accurately communicated and timelines are met.
• Assist with trend research and market analysis.
• Prepare presentations for internal reviews and buyer meetings.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to use design tools and software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar to create and edit technical and creative drawings.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in fashion design principles, including sketching, color theory, and garment construction.
• Attention to detail in handling samples, measurements, and design documentation, with strong organizational skills.
• Capacity to conduct trend and market research, translating insights into design ideas and mood boards.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, production teams, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant educational background in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Internship or entry-level experience in fashion is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site in Hyderabad and participate in fittings, vendor visits, and other in-person activities as needed.
