Bridge Green Upcycle is seeking a hands-on Electronics Hardware & Firmware Intern to design, build, and deploy their next-generation proprietary telemetry unit. This is an on-site role in Marai Malai Nagar, Chennai, with a duration of 3-6 months and an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities
- Design a telemetry PCB from scratch (Schematic, component selection, layout for MCU, sensors, and cellular modules).
- Write embedded firmware (C/C++) for data acquisition, ADC sampling, and interrupts.
- Implement MQTT-based data publishing over cellular networks to log voltage, current, temperature, and SoC data.
- Bench-test and field-test prototype boards using oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Own the product lifecycle from concept to field deployment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Working knowledge of MCUs (ESP32, STM32, Atmel) and embedded C/C++.
- Exposure to PCB design tools (like KiCad) and basic sensors/protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).
- Familiarity with cellular modules (SIM800/900) & MQTT is a plus.
Qualifications
- 3rd/4th-year students or recent graduates in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Passion for hardware and building projects outside of university.
- Mentorship from senior engineering leaders.
- Exposure to the second-life energy storage and battery telemetry industry.
