About the Role
As a Journalism Intern, you'll help develop clear, engaging stories and video content while building hands-on reporting and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Research assigned topics, verify details, and gather information from reliable sources to support accurate reporting.
- Draft concise news reports, scripts, and short-form written content in English, adapting tone and structure to each format.
- Conduct interviews and prepare thoughtful questions, communicating confidently in spoken English and Hindi when appropriate.
- Present or anchor short segments on camera, speaking clearly and helping viewers follow the story.
- Plan and create video content, from shaping a simple concept and outline to recording footage.
- Edit video clips by selecting useful shots, arranging sequences, and adding clear captions or other basic on-screen elements.
- Work with the team to review drafts and edits, incorporate feedback, and meet agreed deadlines.
Qualifications
- Ability to research and verify information.
- Skill in drafting written content for various formats.
- Proficiency in conducting interviews.
- Confidence in spoken English and Hindi.
- Ability to present on camera.
- Experience in planning and creating video content.
- Skills in video editing.
- Ability to collaborate and incorporate feedback.
