About the Role
This on-site Cybersecurity Intern role is based in the Greater Hyderabad Area. The intern will assist in monitoring and analyzing security events, supporting vulnerability assessments, and helping respond to potential security incidents under the guidance of senior team members. This is an internship role designed to provide hands-on experience and mentorship in core cybersecurity domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing system and network logs
- Documenting findings
- Updating security documentation
- Participating in security testing activities for applications and infrastructure
- Researching emerging threats
- Contributing to improving security processes
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support security awareness initiatives
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Foundational skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with an understanding of basic security principles and best practices
- Exposure to Network Security concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure network architectures
- Interest or coursework in Application Security, including secure coding practices and basic knowledge of common application vulnerabilities
- General awareness of cyber threat landscapes and cyber risk, including familiarity with common attack vectors and mitigation strategies
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Windows), networking fundamentals, and at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Hyderabad Area and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Relevant certifications or training (e.g., introductory cybersecurity courses, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) are a plus but not required
