About the Role
Allegion is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Intern to join their team. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to building software for IoT-enabled security hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate functional requirements and acceptance criteria into a detailed verification test plan and test scripts, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Contribute to existing automated testing frameworks to reduce defects, improve quality, and enable faster delivery of high-quality software.
- Run automated tests in pipelines using Azure DevOps, Gitlab, CircleCI, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Software Systems, and Software Development Teams throughout the development process.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with automation testing on mobile (Android/iOS), API / Microservices, or Web applications.
- Exposure to AWS/Azure infrastructure, DevOps, and other relevant tools and technologies.
- Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Effective listening, time management, and creative problem-solving techniques.
- A desire to learn, grow, and develop by working on impactful projects.
