About the Role
This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and implement state-of-the-art secure operating networks.
- Conduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for application design.
- Be involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, electronic data traffic, and network access.
- Utilize encryption technology of various security technologies, and information technology security research.
- May prepare security reports to regulatory agencies.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- COMSEC account management (key material inventory, audits, inspections)
- Expert understanding of COMSEC policies and regulations
- Understanding of physical security requirements to safeguard controlled cryptographic item (CCI) and keying material
- Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one
- Must reside in the Huntsville, AL area
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
Qualifications
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field
- OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)
- Current passport
- Expertise in configuring, loading, testing, and installing NSA Type 1 end encryption units/inline network encryptors (KIV-7M, KG-255XJ, MYK-15A, MYK-3B)
- Skilled in conducting physical security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending mitigation measures
- Experience in writing security assessment reports and authoring COMSEC security plans to regulatory agencies for accreditation
- Understanding of cryptographic architecture and telecommands (TC) & telemetry (TM) data streams
