Software Engineer Intern

About the Role

Qube Health is seeking Software Engineer Interns to help build world-class user experiences across all Qube Health products. Interns will contribute to the development of payments, credit, and data platforms, ensuring scalability as new products are introduced. Software Engineers are team players comfortable with front-end and back-end technologies, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. They collaborate closely with technical and non-technical teams to develop and deploy high-quality products and features. Software Engineers own components throughout the product lifecycle, from idea generation to shipping.

Key Responsibilities

• Own software components/systems of the product (Design, Create, Deploy, Maintain).
• Maintain high-quality, responsive designs and components.
• Continuously improve product components.
• Work and communicate effectively with teams to provide solutions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Golang, Java, or Python.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Understanding of database concepts, including joins, indexes, primary keys, and foreign keys.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery.
• Knowledge of Node.js and Flutter.
• Understanding of Apache Web Server and NGINX.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and UI/UX design basics.
• Willingness to learn and improve on server and client-side technologies.
• Keen to work in the mobile programming space.

Qualifications

• Less than 0.5 years of experience at the time of applying.
• At least one or two short internship experiences preferred.
