About the Role
Performs a structured vocational training in a specified technical functional area, with the intention of getting a recognized practical qualification. This is a hands-on role where you'll work alongside engineers and researchers on real AI/ML projects, from prototyping models to deploying them. You'll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of building AI products and have the opportunity to ship work that goes into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building, training, and evaluating machine learning and deep learning models
- Work with large language models (LLMs) — prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, or agentic workflows
- Clean, preprocess, and analyze datasets to support model development
- Write clean, well-documented Python code and contribute to internal tools and APIs
- Help benchmark model performance and run experiments to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Read recent AI research papers and share insights with the team
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to integrate AI features into products
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Solid programming foundation in Python
- Familiarity with Git
- Hands-on experience (coursework, projects, or hackathons) with at least one ML framework — PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
- Comfortable with data manipulation libraries — NumPy, Pandas
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly
- Good written and verbal communication
Qualifications
- Final-year or recently graduated student from a B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech program in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Electronics, or related fields
- Understanding of core ML concepts: supervised/unsupervised learning, neural networks, evaluation metrics, overfitting
Nice To Have
- Experience working with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face) or building chatbots/RAG systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or containerization (Docker)
- Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, or LangChain / LlamaIndex
- Open-source contributions, Kaggle competitions, or a personal portfolio of AI projects
- Research publications or coursework in NLP, computer vision, or reinforcement learning
