IMOS Designer

Role Description

• Create and modify detailed IMOS-based designs and production drawings for joinery, furniture, and interior fit-out projects.
• Interpret client requirements.
• Develop 3D models and cutting lists.
• Prepare CNC-ready files.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications and relevant standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to resolve design issues, optimize material usage, and maintain accuracy throughout the design-to-manufacture process.
• Support documentation, version control, and design revisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design templates and workflows.
• This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong IMOS design skills, including 3D modeling, parametric design setup, and generation of detailed production drawings.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and related design software used in furniture, joinery, or interior design (e.g., AutoCAD or similar).
• Good technical drawing interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes for woodwork or modular furniture, including an understanding of materials, hardware, and CNC machining requirements.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with engineering, production, and project management teams.
• Ability to clarify specifications and resolve design queries.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple design tasks, revisions, and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, interior design, furniture design, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Prior experience in an IMOS or similar design environment is preferred.
