About the Role
PhiTech Labs is a global innovation and technology consulting firm. This role is for a Junior Java Developer responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining Java applications under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Writing clean, efficient Java code.
- Assisting in the implementation of microservices.
- Troubleshooting and resolving bugs.
- Contributing to code reviews.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements.
- Helping integrate applications with existing systems.
- Supporting deployment activities.
- Learning new tools and frameworks.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong foundation in Programming and Java.
- Knowledge of the Spring Framework and related libraries.
- Understanding of Software Development principles (SDLC, version control, basic design patterns).
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Basic experience with relational databases, SQL, and object-oriented programming concepts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Clear communication skills.
- Adaptability to changing requirements.
- Interest in learning cloud platforms, DevOps tools, and modern development practices is a plus.
