About the Role
The Estimation Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Bengaluru Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing for projects involving gas equipment, utility control systems, and cleanroom installations.
- Analyze drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site visits when required.
- Coordinate with design, projects, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
- Research material and labor costs.
- Evaluate vendor quotations.
- Update estimation databases.
- Support negotiations with clients and suppliers.
- Assist in project budgeting.
- Track estimation assumptions.
- Contribute to process improvements in the estimation function.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- MS Excel
- Estimation or costing software
- Ability to read technical drawings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
- Strong skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation.
- Solid foundation in Civil Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- Effective negotiation skills for working with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Research skills to analyze costs, specifications, and market data.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in industrial, utility, or cleanroom projects is preferred.
