About the Role
Raytheon’s Technical Information Group in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Technical Editor/Writer. This position supports state-of-the art technology through the development of hardware and software technical documentation for end-user Technical Manuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and document system architecture.
- Develop applicable technical manuals in accordance with defined standards and contractual requirements.
- Work with engineers, technical writers, logistic support personnel, and system engineering organizations.
- Professionally interact with other organizations.
- Ability to travel within CONUS ~20%.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Technical documentation development experience.
- Technical writing experience.
- Experience working with engineering documentation.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Clearance: Secret, Active and existing required after day 1).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Good communication and technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in military systems and/or technical manual standards.
- Experience with XML markup language.
