About the Role
Globe Life is looking for an Internal Audit Intern to join the team for the Summer 2027 internship program. This on-site position in McKinney, TX offers hands-on experience in IT auditing within a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing comprehensive audit programs.
- Conduct interviews and meetings with audit clients and external auditors.
- Actively participate in client meetings and collaborate with audit team members.
- Support control testing procedures and prepare detailed workpapers.
- Contribute to the company's Sarbanes-Oxley compliance initiatives.
- Prepare and document draft audit findings and recommendations with supporting workpapers.
- Assist in developing and executing SQL queries for data analysis.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent information assimilation and summarization capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), including the ability to create and format analytical spreadsheets.
- Proficient internet research skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work 40 hours per week.
Program Overview
The 10-week internship program runs from June 7th through August 13th, 2027.
