About the Role
Skyworks' Software Engineering, SWR Internships are offered in our Technology & Manufacturing (TMG) business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on business needs at the time of the internship assignment. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating custom Python applications
- Development of integrated GUIs
- Software API call analysis and benchmarking
- Writing and maintaining unit tests
- Determining operational practicality
- Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems, or issues
- Planning and writing efficient, well-structured code following documented best practices
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Degree: Computer Science (College of Engineering)
- Experience with SQL databases
- Good Python/C++ programming capabilities
- Familiarity with version control utilizing Git
- Strong familiarity with the use of IDEs for development and troubleshooting
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data-structures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, independent, proactive, detail-oriented, and responsible team-player
Desired Experience
- Experience working with containers or similar virtualization (Docker, Virtual Machines) is preferred
- Experience with unit tests is preferred
