Location: Hoboken, NJ (Sinatra Drive)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Formalize lesson plans on a weekly basis.
• Relate instructional objectives to curriculum standards and demonstrate effective decision-making concerning instructional goals.
• Determine students’ performance using both informal and formal assessments and observations.
• Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children.
• Use a variety of instructional materials including contextual, supplemental, teacher-constructed, and teaching bulletin boards, as well as audio-visual aids, hands-on activities, discovery-based learning, and activity-based learning.
• Maintain accurate and timely educational assessments and progress notes for all assigned students.
• Train and supervise a teacher assistant within the classroom.
• Meet with parents throughout the year to discuss the child’s progress.
• Attend Open House, Back to School Night, Teacher In-Service days, and all weekly staff meetings and weekly teacher curriculum meetings.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor's Degree required (Elementary Education preferred)
• Montessori Experience (preferred)
• NAMC (Preferred or willing to obtain within first year of employment)
• Ability to communicate with parents effectively and professionally.
• Experience with Lesson planning and development.
• Ability to multitask and function in an ever-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Montessori Experience
• NAMC certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)

Salary: $40,000 - $48,000 / year
