About S² Productions

S² Productions is an independent production company based in San Francisco, focused on psychological horror and character-driven drama. Stories at S² move through a structured pipeline, beginning in the S² Story Lab with live table reads and real audience feedback. The most promising concepts become micro-pilots and short vertical series, with the strongest projects evolving into features and series under S² Originals. S² also serves as a collaborative community where actors, writers, DPs, editors, and crew can grow into larger roles and pitch their own ideas.

About the Role

The Creative Development Intern role is a remote internship focused on supporting the development of new stories and projects across S²’s slate. The intern will help brainstorm concepts for micro-pilots, vertical series, and features, participate in virtual story labs and table reads, and organize feedback from internal and external audiences. Additional tasks may involve supporting pitch materials, maintaining project documentation, and collaborating with writers, producers, and other creative partners in a fast-paced, story-first environment.

You’ll work directly with our founder to:

  • Find emerging writers and directors whose work fits the kinds of stories S² wants to make.
  • Review short writing samples, reels, and portfolios, and share who you think we should meet and why.
  • Help draft outreach, coordinate intro calls, and support upcoming table reads.

This is a good fit for someone who loves film, is curious about how projects come together, and enjoys connecting people.
