About the Role
Foth's Cedar Rapids, IA office is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their airports team. This role offers hands-on experience supporting commercial and general aviation projects across the Midwest and Southeast, with opportunities to build expertise in a dynamic airport environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering design support for clients and their projects, including roadways, airfield pavements, storm water needs, parking, construction phasing, and utility design.
- Assist with studies and technical design reports.
- Provide AutoCAD design support for the full project design life cycle.
- Create 3D models to support design and engineering.
- Engage in construction representation services.
- Ensure design standards and processes align with federal, state, and Foth standards.
- Perform civil engineering tasks under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
- Prior experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software in design applications.
- Experience in construction observation and construction administration during employment or college internships.
Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training certification (Preferred).
- Municipal transportation, DOT, or airport design experience and working knowledge of state, municipal, or federal design standards (Preferred).
- Prior construction observation experience (Preferred).
