About the Role
Divaiz Studio is a design-focused practice dedicated to helping people love the spaces they inhabit. The studio believes that both living and working environments should reflect individual lifestyles, values, and ways of functioning. Rather than simply decorating, Divaiz Studio focuses on personalized, thoughtful design that brings each space to life. Team members collaborate closely with clients to translate their preferences into functional, expressive interiors.
The Junior Interior Designer will support the design team in developing customized interior solutions for residential and commercial spaces. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular in-person collaboration and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with concept development
- Preparing design presentations
- Contributing to space-planning layouts
- Coordinating FF&E selections under senior designers' guidance
- Creating and updating construction drawings
- Collaborating with vendors and contractors
- Participating in site visits and measurements to ensure design intent is met
Qualifications
- Relevant academic background in Interior Design or Architecture
- Strong foundation in Interior Design and Architecture concepts, with the ability to translate design ideas into practical solutions
- Proficiency in Space Planning, including layout optimization and circulation planning for residential and commercial interiors
- Ability to prepare and interpret Construction Drawings, including detailed plans, elevations, and sections
- Knowledge of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, sourcing, and coordination aligned with design intent and budget
- Basic understanding of materials, finishes, and construction processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site with a multidisciplinary team
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Familiarity with industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) is preferred
- Prior internship or project experience is an advantage
