About the Role
As an Application Developer specializing in IBM Cloud Migration, you will design and build migration delivery engagements using advanced knowledge of IBM Cloud Platform-based migration and modernization tools. You will leverage your expertise in migration and modernization assessment, design, and application code refactoring to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build migration delivery engagements through the installation, configuration, and optimization of IBM Cloud Platform-based migration and modernization tools as per engagement requirements.
- Apply knowledge of migration and modernization assessment and design to refactor application code, including semantic and syntactical changes, to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Utilize expertise in creating microservices, APIs, and converting workloads into containers to drive efficient migration and modernization of applications.
- Apply advanced knowledge of technical and functional aspects to convert application code into containers through modular design, ensuring optimized performance and parameters.
- Serve as a Migration Tool specialist for IBM Cloud Platform Migration Discovery, Design, and Build (Migrate) practices, collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality migration solutions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- IBM Cloud Platform Expertise: Exposure to IBM Cloud Platform-based migration and modernization tools, including installation, configuration, and optimization.
- Migration and Modernization Assessment: Experience working with migration and modernization assessment and design, with a focus on application code refactoring and semantic and syntactical changes.
- Containerization and Microservices: Exposure to creating microservices, APIs, and converting workloads into containers to drive efficient migration and modernization of applications.
- Application Code Optimization: Experience working with technical and functional aspects to convert application code into containers through modular design, ensuring optimized performance and parameters.
- Migration Tool Specialization: Exposure to Migration Tool specialist roles for IBM Cloud Platform Migration Discovery, Design, and Build (Migrate) practices.
