About Nadora Medical Solutions
Nadora Medical Solutions strengthens healthcare informatics by improving daily medical workflows through collaboration and shared insights. The organization focuses on transforming complex data environments into intuitive, user-friendly solutions that support clinical teams.
About the Role
We are seeking motivated Software Engineering, Computer Science, and Data Science Interns for our 16-week Winter Entry Cohort. As an intern on our engineering and informatics team, you will bridge academic theory with real-world health IT operations. Working under the direct supervision of our Chief Project Manager, Technical Mentors, and Clinical Advisers, you will work on core platform enhancements spanning clinical data integration, AI-assisted charting safety, and patient experience portal workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Core EHR Development: Analyze clinical friction points, implement feature fixes/enhancements, write meaningful unit tests, and submit code through peer-reviewed pull requests.
- Health Data Interoperability: Work with synthetic and certified de-identified datasets to prototype FHIR/HL7 data mappings, patient record matching algorithms, and data provenance checks.
- Responsible Clinical AI: Research and evaluate LLM/AI charting draft modules for source fidelity, factual accuracy, omission rates, and prompt injection safety.
- Patient Experience: Improve patient intake, scheduling, messaging, and web accessibility workflows based on user feedback.
- Engineering Communication: Maintain design notes, ticket histories, and deliver a reproducible capstone presentation at the end of the cohort.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
- Strong foundational programming skills (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, SQL, or REST APIs).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub) and testing frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior coursework or project experience in database design, machine learning, web accessibility, or health informatics.
- Interest in medical software safety, HIPAA compliance, or digital health technology.
