About the Role
- Six-month internship on the product team.
- Ownership of the AI Agents experience for support and marketing use cases.
- Collaboration with the product lead and AI developers.
- Goal to ship at least two features merchants use.
- Expected outcomes by month 6:
- Written PRDs that were built.
- Conducted customer calls.
- Moved a quantifiable metric.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the workings of AI agents, including models, prompt assembly, RAG, fallback and handoff, and evals.
- Maintain a living map of gaps in AI agent functionality.
- Engage with merchants weekly through calls, support tickets, and session recordings to identify problems.
- Author PRDs for shippable improvements, focusing on the "why" and "what".
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to deliver features within 2-week sprints.
- Develop and maintain the library of prebuilt agents and test sets (eval cases) to measure agent improvement.
- Monitor and report weekly on adoption and quality metrics for owned features.
- Prototype ideas using AI tools such as Claude or Cursor before engineering implementation.
- Present work during end-of-sprint demos.
