About The Role

Alignerr is seeking professional voice actors and voice-over artists with authentic Indian English accents for paid studio recording sessions. This contract role is for experienced voice talent based in India, contributing to an AI speech research project aimed at improving how AI understands and communicates with Indian English speakers globally. The project focuses on training AI systems to comprehend natural, human speech, making technology more inclusive and accurate. This is an AI-related project and does not involve voice cloning.

Key Responsibilities

• Record natural, conversational Indian English speech in a professional studio environment.
• Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue recordings.
• Deliver realistic, natural-sounding dialogue that feels unscripted and human.
• Follow light direction to vary tone, pacing, and delivery style.
• Collaborate with a small team to produce high-quality, authentic speech data.

Qualifications

• A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with hands-on recording experience.
• A native or near-native Indian English speaker with a confident, authentic accent.
• Comfortable performing natural conversation and dialogue.
• Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction.
• Fluent in English at a working communication level.
• Currently based in India.

Nice to Have

• Acting or performance background.
• Experience in broadcast, podcasting, or prior professional studio recordings.
• Comfort with both scripted and improvised dialogue styles.
