Data Center Engineer

Role Description

The Data Center Engineer role is a full-time hybrid position based in New Delhi, with some flexibility for work from home. This role is responsible for overseeing daily data center operations, including monitoring systems, managing capacity, and ensuring infrastructure uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily data center operations.
• Monitor systems.
• Manage capacity.
• Ensure infrastructure uptime.
• Perform hands-on work with cabling, racks, and other hardware.
• Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, and change management activities.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Document incidents and resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance and reliability.
• Adhere to safety, security, and compliance standards.
• Support continuous improvement of data center processes.

Qualifications

• Skills in data center operations and data center infrastructure management.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for hardware, network, and environmental systems.
• Practical cabling skills, including structured cabling, patch management, and rack organization.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, incident management processes, and basic networking concepts.
• Relevant engineering or technical degree/diploma (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, IT, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including on-site presence in New Delhi and remote collaboration.
• Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills, with attention to detail and adherence to safety and security practices.
• Experience in mission-critical or data center environments is preferred.
• Industry certifications (e.g., data center, networking, or infrastructure) are an advantage.
