Accounts Asst

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Accounts Assistant role based in Mumbai, supporting the finance and accounting operations of Transcon Freight Systems Pvt Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with accounting entries
• Managing petty cash transactions
• Supporting credit control activities, including follow-up on outstanding payments
• Preparing and updating financial records
• Coordinating with internal teams on invoices and payments
• Ensuring compliance with company processes and timelines
• Reconciling accounts
• Maintaining documentation for audits
• Communicating with stakeholders to resolve billing or payment queries

Qualifications

• Strong Accounting and Finance skills, including familiarity with basic bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and invoice processing.
• Experience in Credit Control, including monitoring receivables, following up on overdue accounts, and supporting collections activities.
• Ability to manage Petty Cash, including recording transactions, balancing cash, and maintaining clear documentation.
• Effective Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance are preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting or ERP software will be beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment are important.
• Prior experience in logistics or freight forwarding accounts will be an added advantage.
