About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role based in Bengaluru.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, ocular health assessments, and contact lens evaluations, using standardized clinical protocols and diagnostic equipment.
• Accurately prescribe lenses.
• Advise customers on eyewear options and ensure proper frame and lens selection in collaboration with the store team.
• Educate customers on eye health, preventive care, and lens maintenance.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
• Support store operations by participating in quality checks, assisting with walk-in consultations, and contributing to a positive, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Clinical optometry skills, including refraction, ocular health assessments, and contact lens fitting.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities for explaining prescriptions, counseling on eyewear choices, and addressing customer concerns.
• Attention to detail and record-keeping skills for maintaining accurate clinical documentation and following standardized protocols.
• Comfort with technology and digital tools used in modern clinical practice and retail operations.
• Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Optometry from a recognized institution.
• Relevant professional registration or license as required by local regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a retail environment, including weekends and peak business hours as needed.
• Prior experience in optical retail or clinical optometry is preferred but not mandatory for strong entry-level candidates.
