Mechanical Engineer, Energy Solutions

About the Role

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy Solutions division. This is an opportunity to contribute to sustainable, high-performance building engineering and grow within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role involves supporting clients and leading all phases of projects. Previous experience in HVAC design and commissioning can facilitate a transition into energy engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Help develop and present project opportunities to potential clients
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes
• Facilitate the contract administration process
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period
• Commission installed systems to validate performance
• Support the client through the warranty phase
• Work with our Measurement & Verification (M&V) professional to develop M&V reports

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Energy Services company OR consulting engineering/commissioning firm experience (0-3 years preferred)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline

Locations: Baltimore MD, Fairfax VA, Richmond VA, Boston MA, California, Illinois

Salary Range (Fairfax VA, Baltimore MD, California, Boston, MA): $75,000 - $90,000

Salary Range (Richmond VA): $65,000 - $80,000

This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
