About the Role
AWS Science of Security is dedicated to making AWS the best computing service in the world for customers who require advanced and rigorous solutions for security, privacy, and sovereignty. The team operates in a fast-growing, startup-like environment within AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, evaluation, and deployment of automated reasoning solutions for verifying the correctness, security, and reliability of software systems.
- Apply techniques such as constraint solving, model checking, static analysis, theorem proving, and program analysis to unique applications in business and engineering.
- Build and deploy automated reasoning tools and verification frameworks.
- Research and implement novel approaches to add distinct value to the business and customers.
- Solve significantly complex problems requiring deep domain knowledge and scientific innovation.
- Own the design, implementation, and delivery of solutions with long-term quantifiable impact.
- Provide cross-organizational technical influence by sharing deep knowledge and experience.
- Develop fundamentally new solutions for uniquely challenging business problems.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- PhD or equivalent research experience.
- Experience in areas like SAT, SMT, mechanical theorem proving, symbolic simulation, programming language type systems, or program analysis.
- Experience programming in OCaml, Dafny, Haskell, Kotlin, Lean, Rust, Scala, or a related language.
