Education Counselor / Admission Counselor

About the Role

Ignite Education is hiring a full-time, on-site Admission Counsellor for their Deccan office. This role functions primarily as an Educational Counsellor, guiding prospective students, understanding their academic and career goals, recommending suitable programs, and ensuring successful admissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students regarding online and distance learning programs offered through partner universities.
• Understand student requirements and recommend the most suitable graduate and postgraduate programs.
• Manage both inbound and outbound calls to convert enquiries into admissions.
• Provide accurate program details, fee structures, career pathways, and admission procedures.
• Conduct follow-ups through calls, WhatsApp, email, and scheduled callbacks to maximize conversions.
• Handle pre-admission and post-admission support to ensure smooth onboarding.
• Maintain and update lead records, enquiry status, and conversion reports in the CRM.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students for future referrals.
• Work consistently towards achieving monthly admission targets.
• Participate in ongoing training, team discussions, and counselling strategy improvements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Good counselling and interpersonal abilities.
• Enthusiastic, confident, and goal oriented.
• Ability to explain program details clearly and handle objections effectively.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• CRM familiarity (preferred).
• Passionate about academic guidance and student support.

Qualifications

• Any bachelor's degree.
• 6 months to 3 years of experience.
• Experience in EdTech, admission counselling, or online distance learning preferred.

Location

• Deccan, Pune.
• Work from Office (Mandatory).

Note: Overseas counsellors and candidates with a Psychology background will not be considered.
