About the Role

The Supply Chain Analyst role reports to the Manager, Supply Chain, and works closely with the VP of Supply Chain and the FP&A team. This analytical role covers procurement, fleet management, contractor management, and warehouse inventory. The analyst will own supply and demand models and support labor rate negotiations, strategic supply agreements, contractor compliance monitoring, and inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply and Demand Planning
  • Maintain supply and demand models to forecast material and equipment needs based on build schedules, subscriber growth, and installation volume.
  • Monitor vendor lead times, safety stock, and reorder points, flagging shortages or excess inventory.
  • Update models with changes in timelines, pricing, and demand assumptions, documenting logic and data sources.
  • Procurement and Strategic Sourcing
  • Support labor rate negotiations with construction, splicing, and installation contractors by benchmarking market rates, analyzing bids, and modeling cost impact.
  • Support strategic supply agreements, including RFQ preparation, bid comparisons, pricing and term tracking, and managing a renewal calendar.
  • Create and track purchase orders, maintain vendor records, and reconcile invoices against contract pricing.
  • Contractor Management and Compliance
  • Track contractor compliance documents (MSAs, SOWs, COIs, licenses, safety certifications, W-9s) and follow up before expiration.
  • Reconcile contractor invoices against approved rates and completed work, escalating discrepancies.
  • Maintain contractor performance scorecards with Field Operations and QA.
  • Fleet Management
  • Track fleet utilization, preventive maintenance, service history, fuel, and cost-per-vehicle data.
  • Build replacement requirements, including lifecycle analysis and replace-versus-repair recommendations for capital planning.
  • Coordinate with service vendors and maintain registrations and inspections.
  • Warehouse and Inventory
  • Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, receiving and issuing, and reconciliation to the system of record.
  • Track serialized and high-value equipment, monitor shrink and obsolescence, and support material kitting for field teams.
  • Recommend improvements to layout, inventory controls, and stocking levels.
  • Reporting and Analysis
  • Build dashboards and recurring reports on spend, inventory, contractor compliance, and fleet KPIs.
  • Run ad hoc cost, savings, and variance analyses for operational and budget decisions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong grasp of supply chain fundamentals (inventory theory, ordering models, carrying costs).
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, forecasting/scenario models).
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver recommendations on tight turnarounds.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn ERP, procurement, and inventory systems quickly.
  • Full-time, in-office role in The Woodlands, TX.
  • Periodic travel to warehouse, fleet, and field sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: 0 to 2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory, fleet, or operations analysis (internships count).
  • Preferred: Coursework or a concentration in supply chain management.
  • Preferred: Oracle NetSuite experience (purchasing, inventory, vendor management).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with fleet management or telematics platforms.
  • Preferred: SQL or Python for data analysis, with AI tools a plus.
  • Preferred: Interest in pursuing ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
