About the Role
The Welcome Coordinator at Oak Street Health is responsible for creating an inclusive environment and making a positive first and last impression on patients. Welcome Coordinators serve as the face of the clinic and ensure efficient center operations by performing administrative tasks that support the broader teams in delivering an unmatched patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and guests
- Conducting visit check-in and assisting patients with required forms
- Collecting co-pays
- Updating patient information and making changes in the electronic medical record platform
- Scheduling/rescheduling appointments within the electronic medical records platform
- Managing phone lines by answering, taking messages, and conducting outbound calls
- Managing faxes in the electronic fax platform
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the Welcome and Community Room areas
- May be required to float to other centers in the region on an infrequent basis
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong computer skills
- Basic knowledge of Google Suite
- Professional phone etiquette
- US work authorization
- A flexible and positive attitude
- A welcoming and nurturing attitude toward older adults
- High level of integrity
Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve (where necessary)
- Experience in a customer service setting (strongly preferred)
- Some college (preferred)
Work Schedule
- Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40
- Time Type: Full time
Pay Range
- $17.00 - $28.46 per hour
This pay range represents the base hourly rate for all positions in this job grade. The actual offer depends on factors like experience, education, and geography.
This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program.
