Electrical Engineering Intern

About the Role

The Electrical Engineering Intern will support the design, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and components used in Invent’s research and product development projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Trivandrum.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with circuit design and simulation.
• Performing measurements and basic troubleshooting.
• Preparing documentation and test reports.
• Collaborating with scientists and engineers on interdisciplinary prototypes.
• Helping to maintain laboratory equipment.
• Following safety procedures.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of experimental setups.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundational knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Electricity.
• Skills in Electrical Design, including basic circuit design, simulation, and understanding of electronic components and instrumentation.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills for interpreting data, diagnosing issues, and proposing logical solutions.
• Clear and professional Communication skills for documenting work, preparing reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with standard engineering tools and software (e.g., circuit simulation tools, basic CAD, or MATLAB) is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Trivandrum, follow lab safety protocols, and manage tasks independently under guidance.
• Interest in interdisciplinary research, especially in Biotechnology or Material Sciences.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
