About the Role
This is an 11-week paid learning experience where you’ll do real work on the platform behind Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising. You'll work on software that plans, buys, delivers, and measures campaigns on billboards, Times Square displays, and bus-stop screens, operating on an always-on, real-time bidding system. This is a high-scale product with real users, where you’ll own a project from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, review, and test production-ready code as part of a team of engineers.
- Plan and break down a project from start to finish with your mentor, Product, Design, and QA.
- Learn the tech stack and systems that support your project.
- Give and receive feedback through code reviews.
- Ship real code to production, with the chance to launch your project.
- Demo your project to the broader engineering org at the end of the internship.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience with at least one language: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Scala.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience building something real (e.g., team project, hackathon, internship, open-source work).
- Familiarity with web, backend, or testing concepts (e.g., React, REST APIs, SQL) is a plus.
- Curious and collaborative, willing to question assumptions, and comfortable with code reviews.
- Moves with urgency, learns fast, and speaks up with ideas.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
- Must have one or more course(s) remaining in a Bachelor's or Graduate degree program post-internship.
- Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for external Summer Internships.
Relocation assistance will be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
Intern wages range from $27/hour to $50/hour, based on education/STEM vs non-STEM designation.
