Key Responsibilities
- Accurately manage cash and credit card transactions.
- Balance the register at the end of the shift.
- Act as a menu expert, guiding customer selection.
- Accurately enter customer orders into the register.
- Be quick, efficient, warm, and gracious in guiding customers.
- Work with the team to exceed guest expectations and provide the Nando's experience.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Commitment to quality service.
- Food and beverage knowledge.
- Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- Basic English language and professional communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Able to independently lift up to 15lbs for an extended period.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout the shift.
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day.
- Hand-eye coordination.
- Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping.
- Pushing and Pulling.
- Lifting overhead.
- Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants with multiple levels.
Compensation
Current Pay Ranges For This Position Include:
- Washington, DC: $18.40 - $20.00 per hour
- Virginia: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
- Maryland: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
- Illinois: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
- Georgia: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
- Texas: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
- Actual compensation will be determined based on work location, experience, and internal equity.
