About the Role
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Systems Safety Engineer for its Strategic Deterrent Systems Division in Huntsville, AL. The role is part of the Systems Engineering Integration and Test team on the Sentinel program.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Major in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite for obtaining a clearance.
Qualifications
- An overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
- Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
