About the Role
Henry Ford Health is seeking a Lab Assistant for Surgical Pathology.
Key Responsibilities
- Master the specimen journey: Take charge of order entry, specimen and material pick-up, transportation, tracking, receipt, and processing.
- Become equipment-savvy: Operate and maintain pre and post-analytic laboratory equipment, including laboratory automation systems.
- Be the friendly face: Interact with patients, laboratory staff, and caregivers with genuine warmth and professionalism.
- Roll up your sleeves (sometimes): Occasionally perform phlebotomy services when needed.
- Navigate like a pro: Utilize various information systems to complete tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
